Taking Road Test
To get ready for your test, you’ll want to practice as much as possible with your qualified supervisor. Try to practice at different times of day, in different weather and road conditions, and in unfamiliar neighbourhoods.
Being prepared for whatever might be happening the day of your test (rain, heavy traffic, a distracting dancing pizza mascot on the side of the road) will help you be more confident.
How to practice and study for your road test
These will help you get ready for and pass your test:

Tip: Pay special attention to your road signs. Not understanding a playground or school zone sign is a common mistake that drivers make on their tests.
Don’t just rely on studying though, be sure to get lots of real-life driving practice with an experienced driver.
What to expect on your road test
Your full road test, including time at the end to go over how you did, will take about 45 minutes. Your examiner will take you out on a route that tests your driving skills.
What you’ll be tested onYour driver examiner will be looking to see that you’re able to demonstrate different driving skills in a safe, smooth and controlled manner. They are not looking for perfection, so don’t worry too much about whether you can parallel park perfectly. Be safe and follow their directions.
Feeling nervous?
We understand that you might be nervous about your road test. It's totally normal and almost everyone has felt that way too!
Just so you know, the examiners don't have a number of drivers that they have to fail—they mark everyone fairly, based on their skills. Ideally, they would like everyone to pass their tests.
Didn't pass on your first try?If you don't pass on your first try, you can take the test again after waiting 14 days. (You’ll have to pay another road test fee.)
