小P民一个，为了省银子，纵然英语再烂，也硬着头皮吃透IMM5445（这个非常非常重要！），怀着忐忑的心寄出大包裹，没想到居然顺利通过。

先声明，以下是我自己的经验，仅供参考，一切事宜均以CIC为准！

准备材料就不多说了，只谈两个问题。
1，关于翻译
更新之前查阅了很多帖子，发现说法不一，有说一定要有证的翻译，有说不需要找专业翻译也可以。研究5445后发现：
Any document that is not in English or French must be accompanied by:
the English or French translation;
a certified copy of the document; and
a translator's declaration.

Note: The declaration must include the translator's name, the original language of the translated document and a statement signed by the translator that the translation is accurate. Translators who are certified members in good standing of one of the provincial or territorial organizations of translators and interpreters of Canada do not need to supply an affidavit.

Important information. Translations by family members are not acceptable.
这几段话我反反复复看了不下20遍，提炼出来的中心思想有三个：
1，翻译员不能是家庭成员
2，翻译员要附上声明
3，如果是certified members的翻译员则不需要声明

至少我没看出来CIC要求一定要持牌的翻译员来做翻译！所以，网上搜了个格式，找朋友翻译出声明签名，我把华丽丽的翻译费给省了。我一共4本护照，之前问过价钱，一共要100多刀呢！images/smilies/wdb23.gif

2，关于Certified true copies
看到很多筒子找的是公证处，这当然是最最省事又有质保的方式。8过，为了省银子，我还是从CIC给出的具有“证明”资格的人选中，选择了银行经理。没花一分钱银子。因为CIC只要求“certify”，不是“notarize”。
